Abstract | Summary. Eighteen more lenticular to Sab galaxies (including 8 upper limits), have been observed with the Nancay radio telescope in the 21-cm line of neutral hydrogen. Adding these data to those previously obtained at for 15 other galaxies of these types, we show that the neutral hydrogen content of early type galaxies is relatively large and that the mass to light ratio is practically constant from lenticular to irregular galaxies. The hydrogen diameter has been determined for three of them, including the peculiar galaxy NGC 1808. Lenticulars have an Hi component with mass and diameter comparable to the ones of spirals and the fact that they have no arms should be relevant to the theories of spiral structure.
