| Abstract | Summary. Twelve Haro galaxies have been observed in the 21-cm line of neutral hydrogen with the radiotelescope. They have a high relative hydrogen content compared to their total mass and luminosity In spite of this, however, they differ from normal irregulars in their integral properties and chiefly by the large value of their internal velocity spread; moreover they exhibit several properties similar to those of the Markarian and of the Zwicky compact galaxies.
