Abstract | Summary. The 21 cm line emission of the four suggested galaxy/QSO pairs NGC 3067/3 C 232, NGC 4138/ 3 C 268.4, NGC 4651/3 C 275.1 andNGC 5832/3C309.t has been studied with the Effelsberg 100-m telescope. In the case of the first pair, a narrow absorption feature at VLsR = 1411 km 1 was found. The physical implications of our results as to the reality of the galaxy/ QSO associations are discussed.
