Abstract | Summary. The three elliptical galaxies NGC 2974, 4105, and 5846 have been detected in the 21 cm line with the radiotelescope. Their H: mass-to-luminosity ratios are respectively equal to 0.015, 0.047, and 0.010 in solar units. The width of the H I line is rather large, respectively 320, 380, and 480 km -1 The H I emission of NGC 4105 appears to be separated in velocity from that of its lenticular companion NOC 4106.
