Abstract | One-dimensional neutral hydrogen observations of 21 spiral galaxies in the Virgo Cluster have been made using the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope. For each of the galaxies the projection of the HI distribution and of its kinematics upon one or two resolution axes through the centre were obtained. From the observational results the systemic velocity, the maximum rotation velocity, the total HI flux content and the extent of the hydrogen disk at the isophotal level of 1.0 M_sun_ pc^-2^ have been derived. The HI results and the parameters derived from these are presented for each galaxy in a table and a number of figures. This table also includes some optical information. The derived one-dimensional HI distributions confirm the findings of the first paper in this series: the HI sizes of galaxies located in the central region of the cluster are generally small compared with the optical dimensions; also, for these galaxies, the HI distributions are generally more asymmetric than the distributions of galaxies at the periphery of the cluster. |
