| Abstract | A program of B and V CCD photometry has been completed for the RR Lyrae variables in all Magellanic Cloud clusters known to contain them. From the mean magnitudes for the variables, and abundances determined both from the pulsational properties of the variables and the color magnitude diagram of the parent cluster, the zeropoint of the Population II distance scale can be accurately anchored with respect to the LMC Cepheids. Ages for both the LMC and galactic globular cluster systems follow. |
